Amitris began with Persian design — hospitality, geometry, festival paper — and grew into a wider wish: objects shaped by many living cultures, made for everyday European life.
We do not design “countries.” We work through cultural lineages: Persian pattern and warmth, Japanese restraint, Indian textile narrative, Polish folk craft, Egyptian symbol, and Greek clarity. Each collection asks what a culture already knows about beauty, ritual, and use — then translates that knowledge into cotton and paper.
Sharing the atelier across these lineages keeps us honest. One motif should not speak for everyone; many voices make a shelf feel like a conversation. That is why Persia, Japan, India, Poland, Egypt, and Greece share a place here — not as souvenirs, but as companions for the table, the desk, and the gift.
